PRHBTN, Lexington’s celebration of art, culture, and music will return to Buster’s in 2013 for it’s third year. We are already hard at work on this year’s show and it’s poised to be the best one yet.
This year’s PRHBTN will feature a brand new format in order to accomodate more visitors to the gallery, more live art both at Buster’s and around Lexington, workshops, lectures, and some pretty crazy surprises for the concert. Tickets will go on-sale this summer and we are committed to keeping it affordable.
The artists for this year’s show are currently being compiled. If you would like to be considered please email Jessica as soon as possible. The cut off date for artist submissions will be announced shortly.

PRHBTN is an annual celebration of art forms that have been criminalized, marginalized, and underappreciated in the mainstream, featuring an exhibition of these works in a space that complements the raw, powerful nature of the message and the artistry of each piece. The second annual event will take place on October 5th, 2012, at Buster’s Billiards and Backroom – in the heart of Lexington, Kentucky’s burgeoning Distillery District – PRHBTN will bring together a regional community of seasoned art lovers and those new to the genre of so-called “street art” by showcasing local, regional, and national, artists, musicians, and businesses intrinsic to urban culture.
PRHBTN’s will kick-off with a reception that is open to the public. The energy builds later in the evening, with featured performances by national artists Wick-It The Instigator and Mac Lethal as well as local artists Nemo Achida and DJ Warren Peace. The music will be accompanied by appearances from trained performance artists and spectacular light installations from 9 pm – 3 am. Tickets: $10 advance; $15 day of show; 18+
Thirty percent of the proceeds from the sale of each piece will be donated to the local charity of artist’s choice.
The charities represented will be:
The Bluegrass Trust For Historic Preservation
The Lexington Art League
Latitude Artist Community
The Living Arts And Science Center
Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning
